Comments on Compressing for YouTube Display:
I first imported my native 16:9 edit master .AVI into a 4:3 timeline so that I would end up with a letterboxed 4:3 file (YouTube doesn't support 16:9 streams). I used Sorenson Squeeze to produce a 320x240 letterboxed MPEG4 file, resulting in a filesize of about 40MB (I'll post the specific compression settings when I get back home tonight). I was actually pretty impressed with the playback quality from YouTube after it went through their compression engine. Take another look at RUNWAY to judge the quality of the compression yourself! Like I said, I need the views!
