runtime error help

I'm trying install my media composer on my other computer after i install the software i'm trying to start the program and i get a message "unusual run time error" and the program shots down.
does any body familiar with that message?
maybe its a conflict whit the hardware?
what should i do?

Usually that problem means that you did not uninstall all previous software versions of Avid before installing MC3 (Clean Install).

I believe MC3 uses a different version of runtime, because once I installed MC3 on my workstation, it discontinued the ability to use or even install Avid 3D. I'm still pissed at Avid for this.

It would seem Avid not only ticked off their real MC clientele with these shinanigans, they made introductory customers who want a media composer on 12 machines for 300 bucks mad as well.
