Well you can get the zacuto for like $550 with 12" rails, but my concern is supporting the 35-100. I guess I could take the support collar off the lens IF it's removable and use the zacuto lens support with the zip tie. I know quite a few of these users have this lens, so I'm curious what your setups are.

Rods are extra. Mine is supposedly shipping next Tuesday. I already have their PL adapter and it is Quality stuff. I have a client using their Red 14-50 with the AF100 next week, it's a rock solid fit, we tested it yesterday.
 
I just ordered the complete kit from shoot 35 yesterday. Their pricing with follow focus, support and mattebox with flags was fantastic. My out the door price with shipping was under $1500.00. It should be here shortly.
 
I am working on a new base plate similar to the ones I have for the HVX200, HPX170 / HMC150 and the Sony EX1 / EX1R cameras. They are CNC machined and fit perfectly on the base of the camera following the shape of the camera base. They give you a sturdier base to mount your tripod to and more holes for multiple mounting options. I am also working on a rail holder / base for the camera. These will be available through Specialized Communications (an advertiser of this forum)

I don't have exact pricing yet but the base plate will be similar to my other ones currently offered. The rail holder will be more than the base plate but not much. A fraction of the cost of most of the other options I have seen posted on here.
 
Anyone got a comment about the engineering and build quality between the Redrock micro base plate and the Zacuto plate ( as mentioned) ?

What about the versatility and flexibilty? Kind of like the quick release feature in the Redrock and it seems to be more able to be balanced fore and aft????

Wondering about the height of each above the head plate?
 
I'm going to migrate my Chrosziel system from the HPX-170 (and previously the HVX-200).
Had to order the correct top plate from 16x9inc: [AC-401-427P] Lightweight Support Top Plate @ $137.00
 
I just picked up the Zacuto Universal plate as per the suggestions here. I have to say, it seems very well. So far, I'm happy.

You must be one of the lucky people to actually get to order something from them. They are already out of stock according to the site and they only went back into stock this morning. They are about as bad as Red.

I started a seperate thread on the subject of Shoot35 and the AF-100. I ordered my unit the morning I got the email letting me now the Cinebox was in stock. My order was placed on Tuesday the 8th, shipped on Friday the 11th and arrived in the U.S. on Monday the 14th. It took that long to ship my camera across town when we had "ice" the week before. I imagine them as a boutique manufacturer given the only way to communicate with them is via email. I will say that Wayne was very quick to answer all my questions and concerns about how his R2 support system would work with the AF. If they are already back in stock then good on them for restocking so quickly. I think the first run of Cineboxes went in a matter of hours. I will be curious to hear feedback from other user of their products.
