RR Micro FLIP for other adapters

Hey,

I was wondering if there is any downside to buying the micro flip and using it on my DIY adapter until I can afford to buy me a "real" adapter. Has anyone had any experience with it? Its the smallest and cheapest of the bunch and im convinced that the majority of my problems with my DIY adapter can be fixed with a good Achromat and since a flip module is not all that much more, I may as well go for that.

Any experience?

I heard from my video sales guy that the brevis flip module works with other adapters because it is threaded on both sizes. Not sure if this is in fact true, but it is what I heard.
 
really, any of the flips out there will work with a DIY adapter. The issue is whether or not the optics will be compatible. Optical path is the most important aspect of this because the units are built and calibrated for specific GG and Achromat distances.
