ROXOR-Filmpower integration 3-axis Stabilization VS DJI Osmo

HOLY COW. I've never been so afraid to ask a question for fear of what the answer may be. :)

Hey, iriszhang: when it says "Remote control with smart phone". Does that mean that you can PAN/TILT the camera from your phone? I think some event videographers just might have a melt down if it does.

Fingers crossed. Pan/Tilt/Remote control from phone???!!! :D
(...as in....I might buy 2 more if it does)

We through the phone application to control ROXOR, and you can also use joystick to control it.

Thank you for your response. I just want to confirm that I can perform these functions (from remote camera app or joystick as you mentioned):
1. Pan
2. Tilt
3. Record (start/stop)

Sorry....I just want to be sure.

I would have preferred a less flashy design and even better if a Go Pro can be attached. I would like to know the quality of the inbuilt camera vis-a-vis a Go Pro 4.

Published the important parameters about ROXOR:

CMOS: 1/2.3 12.4mp in-type back-illuminated CMOS
Video Resolution: 4K;1440P;1080P;720P;480P
Photo Resolution: 20MP

ROXOR, OSMO, GoPro, X1000V Specs Comparison Chart. I think some people who research parameters will be interested in.

I'm interested to see the 20MP stills from the ROXOR. There is a possibility that might be a mistake, though.

I spotted that too, might be acheived through interpolation though.

Interesting to see it has the same sensor spec as the OSMO (wonder if it's actually the same sensor)

I've pre-ordered but still on the fence about whether to cancel and get a Beholder DS1 to use with my Canon 70D (and any other cameras I might own in the future). Not really bothered about 4K, perfectly happy with 1080p.

I'd be keen to know more details about dynamic range, aperture (fixed? Max/min?), ISO range and focal length/FOV.

Edit: It also occurred to me, what app will it use or will Filmpower be making their own? It's a lot of work to make a useable app that does everything it would need to do!

Hey guys,

Hoping the guy from Filmpower is still watching this thread. I just pre-ordered (risky, I know) because I didn't want the special price to end and have to pay the MSRP price. I did so because in this thread, the guy said that you can control pan and tilt "with joystick" as well as the phone app. I really hope this is the case. I emailed Filmpower sales direct and got this non-committal response:

"Hello,

Please waiting our official update info."

Filmpower dude, please help!

Yep. If they deliver a 4K pan/tilt cam for (preorder) $200 bucks....it will be LEGENDARY. I totally expect the video to be "average". Even so....find me that combo at that price ANYWHERE and I'll take 3. Oh....and it's a 3 axis gimbal too btw. DANG...I hope that is the case. I pre-ordered too. Yep...risk...but only $200 bucks risky. Not too bad as far as risks go IMHO. Cheers Peeps! :)

I think DS1 and ROXOR is not the same level products. DS1 and Nebula4000 should be the same level products.

Nebula4200 5-axis gimbal will be deliveryed soon, which parameters and performance are very good.

The Nebula4200 series utilizes a 32-bit board dual sensor that gives users high-quality precision control and faster operation speeds.

The Nebula4200 series can handle a load of 1.6kg (3.52lbs), supporting all types of DSLR cameras. The series is also compatible with mirrorless cameras. Regardless of the type of camera and/or lens you have, the Nebula4200 series can handle it.

The Nebula4200 series is ready to use in just 3 minutes. Without tools, simply adjust the balance of the camera, tighten and you’re ready to go. The stabilizer’s built auto-sensing camera detects parameters and matches them, requiring no further parameter adjustments.

Nebula4200 5-axis stabilizers use single or double exchange operation. These stabilizers easily replace single 3-axis stabilizers or other 5-axis stabilizers. The Nebula4200 5-axis gimbal includes a single handle; the Nebula4200lite 3-axis stabilizer is sold separately.

Using a smart battery, the Nebula 4200 series has a run time of over 4 hours. Available power is displayed by LED. An added feature, these stabilizers can provide power to other electronic devices via DC12V/USB5V output.
