..just got back in from San Fransisco. were going to start working out logistics for the business sense end of how to go about producing the push/pull bars.
i don't mean to push, but do you have a rough estimate of when you might have the t-bat ready?
i surfed onto this page ready to buy the wheels kit, and now think i might wait to order the whole thing if its available soon enough.
thanks for your time! i can't wait to put my dolly together!
yes you can order it seperately when its available. it will likely just be discounted a little in price if packaged with a dolly wheel set. but since were only talking abut a 50.00 item .. its not going to be a real huge difference.
splitvision,
im really not sure as to when the handles will be available yet. im hoping to have our latest design tested by the end of the month, and ramp up for production by sometime mid next month but i cant say it will be for sure the design has to work.. and work well first. it just takes a while to implement and test each new part that i order or purchase... im trying to keep it simple but high quality and attractive for a low cost. the thing we dont want to do is rush a product out before its really ready.. or make it with cheap parts or ugly looking just to make a quick buck. were really putting alot of thought into the peice so that when we deliver it will have real value and appeal. its really a simple product, but it still deserves attention to detail IMHO. if you need a dolly now, I would just order the dolly wheel kit for now and make an alternative push/pull bar. its really easy to make a cheap one. ..but a real joy to have a nice one.
sorry its taking so long, i was gone last week at a film festival, and just got back and had stuff to catch up on.
...no real way to expidite an order. we try to have a couple standard orders on hand to send out as soon as we get an order, but it depends on when the order comes in. lately its been about 2 days to 1 week from order time to the time its shipped.. and it arrives 2-3 days later. in betwen order spurts we make a couple in advance to have on hand and a couple people get them right away again from that. i suppose if i was told far enough in advance we could set one aside to have it ready though with the type of rails and number of wheels someone wanted.
Neil, I have my money waiting and ready to order one of your rigs once you come out with the pushbar set up. I'll keep checking this thread to see what happens with it.
no prob. im just finishing up the economics of having to buy loads of handle materials to get a decent price on them. and seeing if theres enough market to actaully sell that type of quantity. shouldnt be too long,, again i d estimate about the end of next month or so for it to really be ready.
No rush on my part, you know? Just saying, whenever it is ready I'm ready to buy. Really excited by the accounts I've heard about this, so I'm excited!
I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers. I was hoping to get this for an upcoming shoot Nov. 5th. Looks like a solid product by the way. Great reviews!
thanks obin! pics would be cool. i have some of the new setups that i will hopefully have on the order page soon as well.
hooligan, yours is almost done, and hopefully you'll have it by the end of the week. it should be going out tommorow. it missed the last group we sent out by one day ..those should be arriving today except for the out of country orders.
I was hoping that some who have built a platform might show us there setup or plans on how they did it. But not just the platform but what you set the camera on and how that is attached to the platform. And I'm sure there is more then one way to do this.... so all the more that share their version the better. Thanks.
