Rowco Telithon Anamorphic 16c ...... Anybody know what the heck this is?

I bought this at least a couple of years ago, then when I found out it was 2x I was dejected and tossed it aside. Though now with the new hack, I found it, and while not in pristine condition...



The glass cleaned up good and now I just need to figure out an adapter/connector. I have no idea where this is from. I found ONE listing though google search and it said it had 40.5 thread and of course there are NO 40.5 step down rings to any lens thread I have. My only solace is I paid around $70 for it when I bought it and good luck finding even a no name 2x for that price now.

If anybody knows anything about this I'd appreciate any info.

EDIT...darnit, thought I put this in Hardware....If a mod could move it, appreciate it and sorry for the trouble.

Its a anamorphic projector lens adaptor, but you knew that. Probably 2X. You can try use it with a taking lens, (any 50mm prime will do) clamp it on (there are ana clamps on ebay) and I suggest a filter clamp like this:

As you might want to try close diopters as focus probably only gets you to a few yards with that adaptor. Most of these projector adaptors dont have front filter rings. There are pages of threads on these sankor, kowa, sun etc adaptors.
