Whats was the budget/schedule? When can we see it?
STORYTELLER32 said:The trailer is pretty rough, but the content is really strong. Shots look great, acting & dialogue is solid. What are your plans for the finished flik?
Generally speaking, I think I'm seeing a trend with the 35mm adapters. The SDOF calls achieved with the still camera lenses calls attention to itself way too much. Like it's too shallow too often and screams "look at me!". Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?
Cynic821 said:If im not mistaken, those arent Still camera lenses hes using on Nemesis, they are Ziess Cinema Lenses...so that is actually true to what it would look like to the best of my knowledge.
bgundu said:All the elements are there for a great trailer. First off, it's too long. You have here is a short version of the film. A trailer is a little different. Also, it doesn't have to linear either. Get some key dialogue and use it as a voice over with some nice footage.
Good luck.

What's your plans for this?
JZalutsky said:anyways it looks alright....I guess it is "proffesional" but i think the storry is a little cheezy...the cinematgraphy is pretty god although yea i think the dof is just too much in places. I would have stopped down a bit more.

Some really nice looking shots, great work mate. You don't have to make excuses for this stuff, time to hold your head up, you have something to be proud of.rogar-Love(DBG):
As far as the trailer as "a trailer" I feel that bgundu hit he nail on the head...
As you said in an earlier post...
"Think bIG!"
...should apply to the trailer and everything else that you put out in regard to representing your movie. If you don't yet have a trailer that 100% rocks in your opinion, then just post some clips until you do.
Thanks.
Johnny Cola said:kind of an oxymoronic statement
problem = "too much dof"
solution = "stopped down a bit more" = more depth of field?
MalcolmOng said:Hey thats a really great looking piece of work! Excellent lighting and shots for everything. I agree that the trailer is a bit rough, but not in terms of cuts or shots, but rather because of the sound design. Some of the sounds could be tightened, etc. If you set that it'll be golden.
HappyGobo said:OK, I could be talking complete shi*e but here goes...If you're going to release a trailer for actual promotional purposes, you might want to do another cut. On here it's fine 'cause you're sharing with us, not subjecting us to an advertising campaign (though advertising is an intriguingly prominent part of Horrorfest) unless you are, in which case I direct you back to my original point...do another cut, one that makes the viewer want to see the whole movie, instead of actually showing the whole movie to him.
That said, it seems like you may have too much going on in the movie itself. There's a coming-of-age story, and there's a story about the conflict between two friends...beef, if you will. There seemed to be an uncertain focus between these two storylines. You could make it all about 305's personal journey with the beef as a sideline plot thread, or you could make it about the progression of their relationship from friends to partners to enemies to combatants even...flashing back at the necessary beats to the childhood stuff for possible explanation of the characters' actions. You could even start earlier than that, with their friendship in the first stages of dissolution at the beginning of the movie, and include the backstory of their friendship in the flashback material.
Just some thoughts. It's your movie.
