Rough edit music clip

Thanks dude! As far as lighting goes, i'll probably end up changing the shots that aren't quite lit right. I used natural available lighting and a 210w Daylight 50CM Softbox, so basicallly no I wasn't going for dark shots. I think the 1st bedroom shot is not right and a couple of dolly shots are pretty crap too.
 
hmm I really didnt like this song lol. no fault of ur own Sean. Anyway critique

1. as mentioned some shots are really underexposed like a 1.05 i think it is. others are underexposed but that one is just black. cant see anything.

2. Watch ur framing. As a rule for close ups..."dont chop the chin". Chopping the forehead is usual and the right way to frame the close up...having the chin chopped of looks wierd. was distracting me the whole time but even more so because sometimes she was singing and her mouth was not in the frame :)

3. Some shots i dont know what the camera is doing...lts moving but i dont know if its a dolly or on your glidecam...its just a wierd kinda movement like 00.31 at the stove and 00.58 some wierd panning thing happening there . were those the dollys u mentioned?

4. the zoom out at 2.46 doesnt have a place in this vid i dont think. thats for a high paced action thing. Zooms on a whole i dont like...but def are useful for some purposes as is everything...but not for this song/vid.

on to the better stuff....the scene file and grading (if any) looks nice. the hmc shines ...the look of the vid is really nice. hmc will be mine next year!! (i hope).

Hmm i realise i all but shredded ur vid...but its constructive :D...and i also realized i;ve never had to critique ur work this closely cuz is always good (to me). So i hope these tips will help on your other hmc vids
