Rotating Monitors in Avid

Hey Everyone

I have some footage that was shot on the HVX with the 35 mm adaptor - footage looks awesome, but everything is upside down.

I can apply a flip flop effect to edit it, but when I got into trim mode, it bypasses the effect and everything is upside down.

I was wandering if anyone knew a setting or something which would rotate or flip the source window and the viewing window.

Thanks!

Can't think of one. Drop the raw into the timeline, flip it (or is it flop?) and do a video mixdown. Yeah, it may take time to render, but you'll have new media that's the right orientation, and you can delete the old stuff if it's taking up drive space. (Don't delete the audio tracks, though.)

What version of Avid are you on. In my Xpress Pro 5.7 the effect stays applied in trim mode. Timeline quality must be set to Yellow/Green too to get any RT effects in HD projects.
