Up for sale is a wonderfully machined small fluid head manufactured by Ronford. Made in England, by the legendary (and active) company that makes the premium large Mitchell mount tripods.
The F3 head was made for smaller cameras, and is fitted with a 100mm bowl. The top quick release was modified with a new style quick release plate. The hydraulic resistance switches are pretty unique to Ronford- I haven't seen them on other tripods- and the head is very smooth- great for a long lens on a light(er) camera. The head does not go into a full free-float mode- there is always a little resistance. The pan arm is also quirky useful in that Ronford way. Needless to say, a unique and utterly professional fluid head.
