"Romance is Dead" - Before and After

Some might remember this from a few months back. Last night I went back and corrected the color and audio problems, thanks to suggestions from DVXusers. All VO has been re-recorded (no annoying hiss) and all shots have been color corrected by adjusting the contrast and by using Magic Bullet (Warm & Fuzzy). A few other changes were made. See below.

NEW VERSION (right click "save as"):
Quicktime - Medium (13mb)
Windows Media - Medium (10mb)

Correction #1: Added a pizza graphic in the background to help emphasize the punchline more.

Correction #2: Added clouds to the background by keying out the washed out sky.

Correction #4: Added a bridge, a wider river, sky, and a different rivers edge on the opposite side.

Much better; the contrast and coloring is great and I cant wait to see the pizza sign live. The blacks actually look balck now.
 
Thanks John. It's amazing how much better a video can look (even one of mine) if you put just a few more hours into it. The skies and audio were my main concern. It was REALLY bad before.

Nicely done. New and improved, definitely worth the extra effort.

I'm going through DVXFest withdrawals. One of these days I'll get another submission in.
 
antomic - Thanks. When this video first aired you had commented on the skies and audio problems. But still, I'm NEVER happy with any of my projects. I keep going back and changing them. I'm still fixing problems with "The Loner". As far as DVXfest, I'd say "Quit while you're ahead.", but that's only so you can give everyone else a chance to win. :) We all know you're nowhere near your peak. You're just at the first base camp and the sherpas are just warming up. I'd be happy to be your sherpa, on your climb to DVX greatness, but I'm 10,000 miles away and can barely lift 20 lbs. When are you going to have a rough cut of your film up? Let's see some grabs!

I really enjoyed this piece. It's the first time I've seen it. Your before and after stills look significant. But it's the overall piece that I really like. The music is awesome too. Well done.
