Rollling shutter: 5D vs. 7D

So....

Now that the new firmware is out and we're kinda comparing apples to apples (or at least two fruits that both vaguely resemble apples) can anyone comment on whether or not there is significant rolling shutter difference between a 5D and 7D at 24p? I'm just afraid it might get worst, but I have a bunch of EF lenses that I would love to use at their native focal lengths as opposed to on the 7D that I use now.

No rush anything because, you know, the firmware just came out like NINETEEN MINUTES ago. :D

Anyway, if anyone has the capacity to test and is willing, I and I'm sure many others would greatly appreciate it.

Pointing the camera at a giant poster and shaking the hell out of it was the first thing I did on 24P mode. Yah, definitely noticeable but I have no fear about doing over-the-shoulder shots with tilt/pans. If a trained eye is looking for it they will notice even the slightest skew on a quick pan, but it ain't that bad -- seriously. It's workable as they'd say.

/says the DoP who doesn't shake his cam too much

Absolutely. When I was @ filmschool, ANY shot involving camera movement was discussed 'up to the second', that is, with set marks. Besides in the first exercises, completely forbidden.

As instructor myself, I demand the same from my students. I have no idea or don't want to care about why there are so many people here thinking otherwise. It is a shame that a few may think that cinema is made from a camera moving itself.
