Roller Derby Promo Video

My 2 cents - there are a few instances where you flash the skater's name (I like the colors btw), but it doesn't stay there long enough to give the viewer a chance to look at the skater AND the name. Perhaps not cutting away quite as quickly...? :)
 
Okay, another 2 cents - the interior skating shots look a little dull. For higher energy, consider doing some CC to brighten it up and give it an edgy look. :)
 
Thanks Nexis I used the 3 way CC in Final Cut, the room as you can see was a god awful green, puke. Anyhow I may/should use Apple Color next time to CC.
 
It's a nice piece with some good bit of impact and style. I'd say though that you have too many intro pieces with the names and that for such a short promo unless you brake it up more and have them spread through the piece. Might be nice to see a bit of action.. then see a title pop in as it's all from the same spot. Add a bit of variety.

Man those are some hard looking ladies too.. Some look like real bruisers and less than "camera friendly" to say the least.

I agree with both comments:

1. Spread the name/pose footage out and break it up with action footage (instead of breaking it up into 2 sections).

2. Color Correct the skating footage. It's dark and dull (color correction wise). Maybe use a film look filter and do something extreme (don't be afraid to mess with color and blow out the highlights).

Good music. Good length.
 
I def agree to leave a few more seconds on the free frame of the skaters. I was trying to check out some of the hotter team members and by the time I read their name they are gone!
 
Thanks for the suggestions about the titles guys, I plan to extend them, this is the 1 minute "commercial" for their site, we are doing a full length at a local club with no music that I can make it longer than the song:) I was going for rythmn in the piece nothing more or less. I like the extreme idea tfa I will play with that, the green was nasty to deal with fer sure....
