Rokinon Lenses Kit for use with af100

...vs. not being able to control aperture at all on EOS system lenses (without the aforementioned clunky, expensive powered adapters).

I know I prefer a manual aperture to using the iris wheel with MFT-native lenses because of the mechanical solution's instant response. Certain I'm not the only one.

That's where I'm coming from Matthew8, all of them are manual lenses, so the mount makes no difference.

As a filmmaker who doesn't own any Nikon gear: I still think EF is one of the best mounts you can choose when you're looking at this Rokinon lens set.

Agree. Not to mention that it's becoming the most popular mount (standard lens mount for BMC, RED) and next to m4/3 seems to be the most adaptable to a plethora of lenses.

I've been thinking about getting the 85mm and noticed that the Nikon (Samyang) version gets a higher rating than the Canon version at Dxomark. Also interesting is that it is better rated than the Olympus 75mm.

@Simply Cinema

For AF100 advising him to get the EOS mount is stupid.. With Nikon mount he can add later lenses like Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 and Tokina 11 - 16mm f2.8 and use all with speedbooster.. With EOS mount there no speedbooster possibility..

And all the Nikon mount (manual ) lenses can be adopted to EOS system with cheap adapters..

Go with Nikon mount...

The only thing that looks stupid is calling someone names on a forum. Glad you think the speed booster is the end all be all, but not all of us think that. Personally I think if you buy all Nikon glass just to use the speed booster then THAT is stupid.
