F3: Rokinon 50mm T1.5 color tests?

Rokinon is (FINALLY) releasing their 50mm Cine lens and it's rated at T1.5 (F1.3 maybe?):

That's preorder at $549. It may drop in price a little later.

It's not quite in the hands of the general public yet, but has anyone (one of our test guys) compared it to colors in the rest of the cine line since Rokinon coatings seem to have a unique color and contrast to them? (They don't match my Nikons anyway.)

B & H is listing a September 5th release date. Sounds like they might have them on the floor at IBC then.

I did hear recently that the lenses are susceptible to lens flaring. Any comments from owners of the lenses that have been released?

I have several of the other Rokinons. They are multi-coated lenses and don't flare like the old single coated lenses. Of course you can make any lens flare if you try to do it, but it's never been an issue when I've used them and I've used them on both a stills camera and video camera. I've always used the lens hood or a matte box, but that's just common sense.

I believe it's their multi-coating that gives them the unique color and contrast qualities.

Hot Rod Cameras is one of the very first shops to be receiving 50mm Rokinon lenses next week. We will post some pics when they land. Not all have been claimed yet.
