Has anyone else had this issue? The lens worked fine for the first couple of months I've had it. The image is great and contrary to what some say, the lens breathing is minimal.

Skip forward to now, the stinkin' thing squeaks between 3-1 on the focus ring. Not sure why. It was never mishandled or dropped.

Anyone else have this issue? Better yet, does anyone have a fix for this?!?!?

I lose a little bit of my soul when I hear that damn thing squeaking.

Oh. And because I bought it on Amazon.com and NOT from a "licensed reseller", they aren't honoring my warranty and are quoting between $100-200 to fix it.

The high price of cheap glass :violin:

I have a the 85mm 1.4 and the lens barrel is getting kinda funky on me, about halfway it become very "Slack" then proceeds to stiffen.I emailed them twice and never got a response. I believe there are tutorials online showing how to break down the lenses. I think a regrease would fix mine. Might fix yours as well.
 
J Michael, I'm wondering if that'll work. It does say "Sold Through Amazon" on the reciept. I'll put in a call to them.
 
Yikes! I just received the 85mm Cine. How much use did your Rokinon get?
I'm working on a review/test this weekend comparing the Zeiss CP.2 85mm PL. I'm going to use the AF-100 with PL adapter for the Zeiss and an EF adapter for the Rokinon. I'm curious how they will compare optically. Mechanically the Zeiss is better but that's not breaking news. More to come.
