Who is using the Rokinon cine 12mm native 4/3 mount with GH5? Does it cover the full sensor? No vignetting issues? How is it wide open? Looking for a cine wide native for some concert footage.

yes of course it covers the full sensor. It is designed for a 4/3 sensor which the GH5 still is. I shoot stills with it all the time on the GH4 and the GH4 m43 sensor is the same physical size as the GH5 m43 sensor. The resolution of the GH5 may be higher but the sensor is the same physical size.

The only time lenses can have issues is when using a focal reducer with adapted lenses that are designed for APS-C cameras. Some of them can vignette a little bit more. You can also get more vignetting with the SpeedBooster XL which is designed for the extra crop of the GH4 when shooting UHD video. Using APS-C lenses with the XL on the GH5 can have a bit more vignetting as well.

As for how well the lens performs it does very well wide open for a non electronic lens. It isn't as sharp as some native m43 lenses at t2.2(f2.0) but still a good performer. Stopping down to f2.8 sharpens up very well.

Thanks Thomas, much appreciated. My concern was due to the difference in crop factor between the gh5 and gh4 2.0 and 2.3. But sounds like it is nothing to worry about unless I am using my speed booster.

the crop factor was with the UHD and 4k modes on the GH4. A m43 lens however is always designed to use the full sensor for shooting stills. The GH4 used the full sensor for HD and stills just like the GH5 now does for everything. The GH4 was only limited with the extra crop from shooting 4k video because of the massive amount of extra processing involved in scaling the sensor.

I also have it and can vouch for it. Great performer for the money. Fairly sharp wide open. Less so than the panasonic lenses, but still quite good.
