[WTB] Rode Videomic PRO

A good friend of mine Bob Hatch (hatch@fullcompass.com) says these are due in March 31, but we've also been waiting since December for the pinmic, so take it for what it's worth. When I first inquired about these when Rode started pumping promo. Bob hadn't even heard of them and when he asked his Rode rep, the rep said they were "vaporware".

To me this has GH2 written all over it, maybe Panasonic Direct is distributing Rode now too ???
 
Hey Chip, relaaaax they are definately on .. I have Videomic Pro serial 0000007 and Chadfish has reviews on here. I'll get more info from Rode.

Just letting you know my experiences with Rode as of late. The pinmic Bob had pricing on and we bought and paid for it it, or so we thought, on Dec. 8, 2010. Had Bob had any idea it was going to be as it has been, he would have told me as he did about the VMP.

I hold no malice for Full Compass.... Rode on the other hand.............. anyone from Rode reading this board ????
 
I have the VideoMic Pro and it arrived from B&H in a few days. I 've had it for 3 weeks and works great. Just digesting some footage and will see how the sound turned out but I have faith with Rode as my NTG-3 has never let me down and is a great mic as well. Can't beat the warranty either. The VMP includes a dead cat cover which should arrive soon
