the shoe mount for my rode sm3 shockmount will not fit on my hvx 200. there is a plastic "crank" above the mount that has a cylinder on the bottom and said cylinder is in the way. there is a thread above the "crank" that looks like it would allow adjustment but it does not move. I have tried many times to turn this with no luck. is there anyone out there who has one of these that can tell me what to do. Is mine just a defective mount that wont adjust or is it a problem with the mount?

I have had this mount for a while but have had it mounted to my boom pole until recently when I tried to on cam mount it.

I have never had any issue getting the SM3 to mount to my HVX. I simply loosen the "crank" and that's it. Sounds like you may have a defect. If you purchased it new, contact the vendor or Rode direct.
