Rode NTG 1 with Zoom H1?

Hi,

I recently bought the Rode NTG 1 and was given the Zoom H1 as a present. I was wondering if it was possible for the two to work. I couldn't find any cable adapters that could connect the two. Do you suggest I keep the Zoom H1 with the Rode NTG 1 if there are adapters? Or do you think I should refund the Zoom H1 and get the Zoom H4N?
Is the Zoom h1 compatible with the Rode NTG1, is there some way to get an adapter cable? I don't want to buy a mixer. If not do you suggest just buying the Zoom H4N and returning the Zoom H1.

Please help!

P.S
The main objective for these products is for recording video. I intend the record all my audio externally.

Thanks!

The Rode NTG 1 requires 24> 48 volts Phantom Power... The Zoom H1 only supplies plug-in power via a 3.5mm connector, so it's not compatible without an external (battery powered) Phantom Power supply, which would likely cost as much or more than a H4 or equivalent. A mixer or preamp (w/ Phantom Power ) could feed the H1, though it's a another piece of gear to carry and deal with.

Hence the NTG-2 http://www.rode.com/microphones/ntg-2 complete with a switch and internal AA battery.

The Rode NTG1 & NTG 2 have a low signal level output, and don't seem to work well with the early zoom recorders with noisy pre amps where the level needs to be raised high to get a good level with these models of Rode mics.
There are SO MANY threads on forums about the noise problems of the Rode mics and Zoom recorders.... If you do some research.
