Rod system for HPX-500

Just wondering if HPX-500 owners have rod and matte box systems attached to their cameras. I'm trying to figure out what rod system and plate attachment works with this camera. The matte box is not the issue- just the rod system.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

FWIW, I was happy I went with a clamp-on vs rods, as the flag for my MB doesn't fit in the quickdraw camera case. So I just unclamp MB & toss on OEM hood when camera goes in case. Can always add rods later for FF if needed.

Good question. I am interested in both rods and box, but I'm not finding much out there.

Thanks,
Brad

So which clamp-on are you using?

Matte box

Matte box

I recently got my 500 and discovered that the Croszeil DV mattebox I got for a PD-150 a few years ago clamped directly to the Fuji lens. No rods, but an inexpensive 2 stage 4X4 matte box.

using the Cavision MB4510-H2. Fits the Fuji lens. Also have the MBF4H french flag, but it's not quickly detachable from MB for stowage in the Portabrace Quickdraw case. No biggie though. If it's run n' gun, I don't use the matte box anyway.

Chroiszel Plate /rod assembly w/Petroff 5x5 MB as well as clamp-on assembly. Works w/HVX camera too.

This system ROCKS!

I demoed at our P@ HD Clinic and it is really light weight. REALLY strong. And the base plate is universal so it will fit on any make camera.

They aren't on our store but we do sell them.

Best regards,
