Rod Support Tips? FS100, LA-EA2 and 70-200mm 2.8

I recently purchased a lens support and rail set up. Curious to see if anyone thinks I should try and support the LA-EA2 as well. When the support is on the lens and the fs100, there is no play with the camera front to back.

Is this too much weight on the LA-ea2 mount, lens mount and camera mount? It seems very sturdy.

Thanks!

I think with this lens (and support) you dont need to supprt that adapter too

With other lenses maybe a tele with no support you would need to support the adapter

a) if you always keep the adapter on the camera why not support it

b) if you have lenses that doint use the adapter then tieing it onto the rails will make lens changes even more of a PITA

This looks good and I would imagine it is pretty solid. Just curious what the rails are and also is that a sigma lens? If so how do you find it?

Thanks, M.

I think your rail system is good for the adapter, but what kind of sticks are supporting the weight of that monster lens?

Proceed with caution using that specific Cavision base. I had mine fail on me, 5D with Canon 70-200mm, MB, FF. The two small stainless bolts which connect the horizontal base to the vertical part. The bolts tore out the aluminum threads and I caught cam/lens in one hand, MB in the other.
