Not so clever
We at StrataTek Studios have decided to dedicate 3 weeks or more of our lives to get our first feature off the ground. There's a lot going on with us and we really want to get a feature off the ground before we get too busy paying the bills to make a name for ourselves.
Lucky for us this community has been extremely helpful in preparing us to go through with this as well as my experience of working on 2 features back to back.
We've been in preproduction for about 2 months now and had our first casting session this past weekend for the main characters love interest, we had 22 girls show up to audition...was crazy to fit them all in.
Our next step is securing our schedule and script breakdowns as my AD is working on that over the next 2 weeks. Once we have that we can lock down our budget and apply for SAG ultra low. Idealy I'd like to get about $75k for this movie but realistically I think we're gonna get about $40k.
I'll be posting more updates as we get closer to our shooting dates in November.
