FEATURE: Rise of the Beast-the new feature from STARS Pictures

Sweet vid. If you ever want to get more indepth, you should check out the seminar series from Walter J. Veith. He's a former catholic who turned to God when he realized his church's ties to the beast, freemasonry, and other secret societies. You can probably find some of the vids on google video. The entire series is like 32 seminars long. Good stuff!

More filming planned this weekend. If all goes well, this will be our last day filming outside =D

Dude, that was sweet! Someone's been watching the Cr2nk BTS. Why didn't you embed it? The difference was very noticeable. You're a human dolly. LOL.

Just the vid you posted a while back

Why didn't you embed it?
I tried embedding it but I get nothing but a white square. what's the secret?

lol. Yep! I'm still trying to figure out why we don't hear of more low budget guys doing this sort of thing.

:badputer: LOL. I did that too. I'm on another site where all you do it put the link and it's automatic. I was doing it the way it's done here over there and it obviously didn't work.

Good looking stuff and Spokane. My last music composer lives up there. "Lots of filmmaking in that area it seems." - Yoda voice

It's not a big scene, but there's a few. Most of them are documentary or film students it seems like. We have one large studio called North By Northwest. The do their own work as well as act as a liaison with Hollywood movies when they shoot here. What was the guy's name?

UPDATE:
So my dream of having two systems (one for cutting, one for effects) is finally becoming a reality. My parents gave me their old Dell. It's at old as Frankenstein, and has the same specs it had before I upgraded. Hopefully I can find some cheap RAM and cheap graphics card to match my editing rig. I'm currently doing a fresh install of XP, so I should be ready to try it out shortly. My desk is now starting to look like mission control ;)

What a day! Shot the opening scene which involved rooftops, parkour, car hits, blood and a dropped camera. Read all about it in the journal update coming soon!

Day 18 of filming

We finally got to shoot the opening chase and fight scene! Erin unfortunately had to work so Alex called up two of his friends who did a great job. We started filming in Couer D’Alene where we shot the chase. We initially tried using a hand truck as a dolly but it was too awkward so we busted out my trusted skates again. This time I wrapped a sweatshirt around my waist and had Alex pull me. The shots came out super smooth! Just like when we shot the scene in February, we used just one alley and by going around different corners and such were able to make it look like a couple city blocks. After filming the chase itself, I traded my skates for my pk shoes. Alex parked his car so it blocked the alley, then he and I climbed a roof to shoot the shots of him watching the chase. We also got a shot of Ben (who plays Luke) doing a diving kong over Alex’s car.

Speaking of the car, there is no way anyone will ever doubt my abilities as a stuntman again. Inbetween shots, as a way to burn off steam, I set up the camera and had Alex drive right at me. The plan was to do the classic run up and over the car while staying in place game, but I slipped and flew off the car head first toward the ground. I was able to save myself and came out uninjured, minus just a tad bit of road-rash on my chin. And speaking of spazy actions, while skating backwards today, I actually dropped our camera. But God was watching over us and it came out with just a minor scratch.

After the chase, we headed to SFCC (Spokane Falls Community College) where we shot the fight. Alex had bought a real police baton, so we used that as the weapon. We pulled out a few Sergio Leone type shots then went straight to Bourne. I brought along some of my fake blood which we sprayed from a bad guy’s mouth during one of the hits. I’ll need to add some more blood in post, but it didn’t look too bad.

Well, that’s today. I’m beat so I’m going to chill out to a movie. More filming tomorrow!

Awesome man! Be safe out there. On my last film we were using the DVX and using our tri-pod as a crane, so it was held over a railing at least thirty or more feet up over solid ground. As soon as we were done shooting I went to take the camera off and it just pops off. I litterally had to catch it as it almost fell off the tripod. I was like, "OMG!" No way that cam could've stay on that tripod being held over a railing for that long.
