ripple training... any good?

I have found this site to be quite helpful and thought I'd seek some more help in regards to learning Color.
I have been using Color a lot more these days and would like to become better at it. I would say I'm a beginner at knowing what Color has to offer and being able to utilize all of its features.

I found some training DVD's from Ripple and watched a few of their excerpts and think it can be helpful.

I wanted to see if anyone here has found these helpful. And to see if anyone has other suggestions for video tutorial training. $100 for a combo pack seems reasonable in order to become better at this program.

Any help is much appreciated!

Definitely!! Purchase as much training from the site as you can. These guys are some of the top experts when it comes to Final Cut Studio apps. I learn more and more each time I buy their training. You are in good hands with Ripple Training

YES! COlor Correction DVD from Andrew Balis was top notch. Motion DVD from Mark Spencer is a MUST.

Thanks for the input so far guys! Motion was going to be my next question. I think I've gotten pretty far on my own, but need to step up my skills.

I have found the Color training from ClassonDemand to be very helpful. Both the basic and advanced DVD's.

Ripple Training has the best Apple Motion training anywhere. They also support the community by providing tons of free instruction. Mark Spencer actually wrote the book for Apple Motion.

I always recommend starting with the "Apple Pro Training Series: Color Correction In Final Cut Studio" from PeachPit Press. Hands on professional level training, nothing better around. Then get the "Color Correction Handbook" by Alexis Van Hurkman.

If you want quick tips and tricks, and a good basic training, Ripple is the way to go. If you really want to get in depth and professional, the APTS and Alexis are must haves.

I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Martin and Mark Spencer during Post Production World classes this year in Vegas. They are stand up guys and very good at what they do. We refer to our ripple training materials on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basis at our studio. I agree with BenB - go with the Apple Pro Training Series by Peachpit first.

Yes, I know them, and the Ripple Training is awesome. Totally by far the BEST of third party training, period. But I'd start with the ATPS books first, then to to Ripple. For "Color", I'd to to the authority, Alexis Van Hurkman. In fact, my sincerest wish is for Ripple to do a Color Grading series of videos with Alexis.
