I always love Tony's work... but one of my personal favs was his role as Houdini.
It inspired me to make "The Dare".

Watch this first....

RIP You will be missed!

I have to admit that I was never particularly a Tony Curtis fan but there's no question that the man was a for-real Movie Star.

RIP.

I think he did his best work when paired with other great actors. With Douglas in Spartacus or the Vikings (I loved that movie as a kid....don't know how well it's held up), Lemmon in Some Like it Hot, Poitier in The Defiant Ones, Cary Grant in Operation Petticoat. All of my great memories of him are with someone else.

That's true for me too. Well, there's an art to playing together with an equally strong performer, and making both performances something more than their individual parts...

Very astute, Jim. They tried to make him a leading man at first, but he made a great co-star, feeding off of someone else.
