RIP Prince

May he RIP.

First Bowie at 69, then Prince at 57. I haven't seen a cause? They said he was hospitalized for "flu" recently, but then was discharged. Either way, it's tragic. There is no predicting when you go - it's all fate and written in the stars. Bowie took massive drugs and was a massive smoker until late in his life, Prince despite his raunchy act and image was a pretty clean-living Jehovah's Witness, yet he died much earlier. There's no rhyme or reason. Compared to most of my friends I am pretty much a health nut, but I was hit with cancer a few years ago, and my buddies who drink and smoke are doing just fine none the worse for wear... I have no doubt they'll outlive me. It's all a cr@pshoot.

But what it does tell you: seize the day. Do what you can and want to do now, don't wait. If you got a film or a dream project or what not, do it now, because you never know. Without getting all religious on y'all, it is said 'ye know neither the day nor the hour'. Take heed. Let this be your spur to go out and do what you need to do. Any day could be your last day.

Prince accomplished a lot in his 57 years on this earth. We honor his memory - a great artist.
