RIP, Andy Griffith

I just drove to New Orleans and back this weekend, and had some of his old standup comedy ("What it was, was football." Also his retellings of "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet".) playing along the way. A brilliant mind, and an amazing performer.

The world would be a better place with more Andy Griffiths around. I have often wanted to escape to Mayberry for an extended vacation!

Pray for the Wildcats.

I was about 7 or 8 when I saw that movie.
Andy at his best!!!

I loved the Andy Griffith re-runs as a kid (well before my time). But isn't it something that Andy died just days after his "Goober Pyle" (George Lindsey) co-star?

Bummer. I grew up on Any and Mayberry, way back when families gathered around the B&W to watch evening television.

To Opie, he was "Paw". To Barney, "(sniff) Aaan-DEE". To the townsfolk, "Sheriff". To us, he was a simple reduction sauce of gentility. RIP
