Ring on lens with UV filter and Protection Glass

It looks a bit like internal reflection betweeen the filter and the front element of the lens.

I dont know what make or type of UV filter youre using, i've always used high quality multi coated UV filters on all my video cameras and i've never had this effect.

I normally use either Sigma DG ultra low reflection Multi coated Uv filters or Hoya pro1 digital DMC filters. Both are made for high res digital SLR with resolutions
way beyond what the 371 can see. Neither of these have ever given me any reflection problems.

Hope things work out for you mate :)

Tbh if you are using a UV filter on the lens theres no need really for a protection one as well as the UV filter will provide most of the physical protection you will need. cheaper to damage and throw away a filter than a whole lens :)

A lot of the newer UV have harder multi coatings now and are a lot easier to clean.

I was just thinking if you were using both filters together with the protection one on outermost, some of the protection filters are not multicoated so it may have been that filter giving you the reflections?? Just a thought.
