Ring Light reviews??

I have an upcoming project that I feel will go smoother if I use a ring light. Having owned and used a Kamio for a number of years, I am confident using one and the only reason I sold it was it was a pain to transport for the majority of my work. It came in a very large case not really suited for a oneman band like me.
Now there seems to be quite a selection of ring lights out there all LED. Some seem to be the size of the wheel on my mountain bike and others look like they would be more of an eye-light if useful at all.
I have seen the CheezyCam review of the e-Photo R640 and am not impressed with the way it rigs and again its size as well as being a daylight instrument.
The new offering from FotoDiox, the Pro FlapJack LED Ring Light looks to be better thought out and would travel nicely as well as mount easily on my system and it is also bi-colour.
Anyone working with one? Anyone working with another option and can share their experience?
Thanks
Brian

I needed to use a ring light recently for this piece , it's been a few years since I've sourced one. Used to use the big Litepanels unit but had a hard time finding one in time for rental and had assumed there would be a new and improved version floating around, but I think since they have waned in popularity no-one has stepped into the ring (the Gekko Kisslite was one I used 8-10 years ago and that seems to be gone). I've learned about a new unit with modern LED's and full color temp control but it's not on market yet and looks to be lease-only.

Obviously there are a bunch of low-end units out there but when it's a unit that is intended to illuminate a face in close-ups, color accuracy is a high priority!

Thanks Charles, I appreciate your input and taking the time to respond. I am anxious to find something descent, light weight and not, definitely not kinda accurate. I have a museum project to shoot and perhaps rental is a better option if there is nothing first rate out there. As I mentioned I used a Kamio for a couple years but it was bulky for my kind of work and I kinda "waned" on using it so I sold it. But this upcoming project is ideal for a good ring light.
Further research has kinda discouraged me on buying the Fotodiox model, which as it turns out is also sold on ebay under another name. I guess Kinoflo, who dropped the Kamio in 2013 also feel there is not enough demand having not replaced it with a Celeb quality instrument.

Here is the new product I mentioned above: http://www.cinering.com

I was referred to this by one of my colleagues. Very new gear so I can't comment from experience, but specs look good and designed by a working gaffer, so I would expect quality performance.
