If I get a right angle firewire adapter, do I need a 6-6pin of 6-4 pin?
I remember seeing this somewhere but I did a search and couldnt find any thing about it.
Look for "right angle reverse", that'll put the angle of the 4-pin side pointing down on the HVX, otherwise, you may get stuck with one that points up, which I found to suck.
is there just a Right angle adapter that lets you place the right angle on so I can use my existing cable? I already ordered the one BenB suggested (thanks) but think an adapter would suit me better.
Don't know if one exists or not, but think about this, an adapter introduces one more connection to fall off. The whole point of the right angle adapter is to have the cord use it's pressure agaist the body of the camera to help hold it in. If it were an adapter you pluged a straight connection into, you'd be back to square one with it falling out. Just a thought...
