Rigging my aja to shape mount with anton bauer gold mount

I recently purchased a shape multi purpose mounting plate to mount my Ki mini, and A/B Goldmount . The problem is, the shape plate is narrower that the A/B plate- it does line up, but i would only be able to use 2 screws (on the same side) to mount to the shape plate- can anyone recommend a (lightweight) solution that works for you?
thanks in advance

I'm using the AJA Universal Mounting Plate for Ki Pro Mini (need two of them) along with the rail kit.

thanks, it seems that the universal mounting plate is still too narrow for my gold mount plate- it should be said that im attempting to use an older ab plate, and have a new one on order- idk if it's narrower than it's predecessor or not.. I guess i'll find out tomorrow when it arrives..

Douglas's suggestion about the Zwiss Plate is a good one as many Ki Pro Mini users have successfully used it in combination with A/B battery & mount.

To the original poster, you may wish to consider getting the narrower Anton Bauer plate, known as the QRC GOLD plate, as opposed to the QR GOLD one that you have. You will find the wider plates on older ENG cameras and the newer ones on battery hangers like the one you are attempting to fashion.

The issue you will have by only using two screws to mount the plate is the inevitable flexing on those two mounting points that is going to occur each time you vigourously slam the A/B battery on the mount. You will do it eventually, the slamming, it is unavoidable either in setup or in the intensity of a shoot.

The good thing about Anton Bauer plates and accessories is it is a buy once kind of product but only if used properly (batteries are a different story).

The QRC GOLD plate is around $100 from B & H. The Zwiss Plate, last time I checked was around $150. Having said all that I would not dismiss the AJA kit with the two plates and the rails mount piece.
