Hey guys, as we all brace ourselves for our new toy to be released, do you guys have any idea what's the best/most compatible rig/support system the AF100 can take?

=D

I was actually just thinking about this yesterday. I think I have enough parts from my adapter and DSLR setup to get the job done

hey jan! will there be a new barry g book for the af100? i already have the hvx200 and hpx170 book . i would think most info and menu would be the same?

I've noticed the af100 is always shown with Vocas equipment.... some sort of connection?

ps I love my Vocas stuff

Zooms for matte box rig

Zooms for matte box rig

There's a very wide range of rail systems and matte boxes suitable for use with this camera.
What I'm still pondering is: can I find an affordable general purpose zoom that I can actually use with a matte box. The 14-140 is out, along with any other zoom that changes length (and focus *groan*) when zooming.

I don't mean to hijack the rails/mattebox thread with a discussion of lenses, but this is something that troubles me, and I assume anyone else who is contemplating such a rig would be facing similar issues...

I will be sticking with existing gear. Zacuto baseplate, Durus follow focus, Cavision pistol grips and my modded cavision shoulder mount Ive had for years.

Will need to look at some mattebox options as my existing cramps the FF on the short zeiss primes I have.
