I'm on a shoot in South America with my business partner. I added a few bits of his rig to mine to make "El Jefe".

Cavision Shouldermount w/ 10lb counterweight
Indievision riser and rails
Indivision followfocus
Sennheiser Lav g3
Beachtech DXA-5D Passive Audio
Zacuto zfinder 3x
Canon t2i
Canon L series 24-105
Indiefocus Mattebox
Leefilter ND filter
Sennheiser ME-66
Anti-shock mic mount
Sennheiser cans.

Works great. Light. Functional. Easy to pull focus on the run. More to come with "El Presidente"

Sweet!
I just bought the Cavision shoulder rig and single handle to attach to my 15mm rails... thanks for the 10lb. shot counterweight idea.

I had the Cavision rig and I thought it was really poorly made. Very uncomfortable, even with a weight I added just like yours. I returned it and got a carbon fiber setup from CPM. The carbon fiber + plastic combo makes it like half the weight. $500 is way too much for what cavision offers.

Do you use the rails/matte box on tripod at all? If so, do you use the tripod thread on the underside of the beachtec to attach the tripod plate?

I'm looking at putting together a rig for weddings, so the ability to quickly go on and off a tripod is a must, but I keep wondering where the beachtek with fit in without having to add a cage or something similar. I never thought about mounting the Beachtec underneath the rails until I saw your rig, so now I'm wondering if doing so on a tripod would throw the balance off or if it would be unable to hold the weight. Any comments?

I just mounted my Sony VG-10 to an Indie systems Areeba mount, mattebox and followfocus doing duties as a zoom controller insteadl Very happy with the product overall...
