Ridiculous lens on the AF100?

The Bigma? It was on ok lens on my Canons (for stills), and stabilization was a very real issue. I'd go with whichever mount you can get and adapt cheapest (Nikon, Canon, Sigma).

oh the bigma, how i miss thee :)

had it briefly for nikon before i switched to canon. really fun lens to tote around. fairly useless in low light though.

I'm looking forward to trying my Meade ETX telescope as a lens for the AF100 :-) Works really well with the Canon dSLR's... I'm hoping the AF100 will be light enough to mount on the scope. 1400mm focal length = 2800 mm full-frame equivalent! Full-moon-fill-frame-tastic ;-)

Cheers, Hywel.

I know where we are heading but I'll continue slowly...

The Bower 600-1300 can´t be that bad after all. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

ok i shouldn't be putting this into your heads but all you would have to do is mount it to a zero-g rig and attach that to a logitech motorized face tracking webcam and...... ok i'm stopping right there

I used to have a Sigmonster, too, but that lens was simply impractical. Even that thing is dwarfed by Sigma's latest, the 200-500mm f/2.8:

Works spiffily on the GH2, since you just tripod-mount the lens and let the GH hang...

Currently trying to figure out a way to support it on the AF100. Anybody know of a simple adjustable 1/4"-holed lens support for 15mm rails that doesn't cost $300?
