HPX250: Rewrapping MXF to Quicktime MOV

Well, not being all that experienced with the HPX250, I tried the PC mode and when the P2 popped up on my desktop I just performed a finder copy from the folder over to my raw video partition. It copied without incident. When I went into FCP X to import from camera it looked right into the video partition as if it was the camera and I had all of my files for import. It was a bit faster this way. I am sure I probably broke a few of the "protocols" with not using the P2 viewer that apparently is only approved for Mac OS 10.6, and some of the other programs. I am able to highlight the ranges of the clips that I need and just transcode them to Pro Res.

Yep, that's exactly what I do. You can also just read them straight off the P2 card via the camera USB port and transcode directly into Pro Res in FCP. I must admit I don't use P2 Viewer at all.
 
I'm busy trying to salvage a client's recovered HVX footage - totally lost the file structure, so it's just MXF files all by their lonesome. Any one know if Premiere 6 allows you to read the MXFs without any metadata folders to go along with them?

You can read the mxf files no problem in cs6, but your timecode and metedata will be lost.
