reverse telecine, help

hi. hope someone can help.
long time reader....

we shot a short with dvx 100a. we shot on 24p (NORMAL). I am trying to create a 23.98 workflow for the video. all the footage was captured in DV NTSC, and used cinema tools to Reverse Telecine. here come the issues: how do I know which "capture mode" the DVX uses? also which "Style." I tried different settings, and the strange part is that some settings work for some clips while others work for other clips (from the same tape!), even though all clips were captured the same way. when i say worked, i mean some showed obvious "flicker" or "ghosting" and some were fantastic.

ps. i read the literature by ken stone and natress.

please help,

thanks

REPUGnant,
tnx, i saw the post. but... my problems is a bit different. i did import the footage at 60i to FCP. it worked fine at 60i with the 3:2 pulldown. but wish to edit the film in a 23.98 timeline (as the footage was shot with 24 (regular)). i followed instructions and used cinema tools to reverse the telecine. it worked on some footage and on some i do see heavy strobing.
in the cinema tools "reverse telecine" dialog box it asks two questions i do know how to answer: "capture mode: field 1 only, field 2 only, F1-F2, or F2-F1." and then i need to pick the Field Style.
to make a long story short. some of the footage i shot in 24p (regular) and captured as 60i (as stated by the manual) is not responding well to the "reverse telecine." some are fine, and some strobe.
i hope this makes sense....
