reverse razor tool

well this sounds like a simple enough question, i'm editing and i use the razor tool to cut the clip, but i was wondering if there was a tool that does the opposite; merging the clip together, because i have like less clips to manage. i've looked through some help sites but i haven't found any reverse counterpart to the razor tool.

Select both clips, right click on one, and then choose "group"

or delete one clip and drag the end of the other out /in to fill the gap.


Another way to get a clean tmeline is to avoid using the razor tool for general edits (cuts). Setting in and out points in the source monitor is far quicker and more precise.
