The approach I'm taking is using an air compressor along with a clear hose/tube from home depot. I've seen this work for other low budget productions. I'm going to need to do a lot of shots with squirts popping out of a man in a suit.
I do NOT want to rely on comping in blood effects in post
anyway my question is, does anyone have experience in tube diameter and PSI rating on the air compressor and what effects to expect with this setup?
I saw a cheap air compressor for 70 bucks that was 100 PSI, is that enough?
I want to be able to push some fake blood in through a main tube that goes through some kind of splitter, and to smaller tubes. It is a shot gun blast so I want a few holes close together timed slightly differently.
I figure I can simply after the splitter have different lengths of tubing. Hopefully this will cause the time offset i am looking for
should I rent an air compressor with higher PSI than 100 PSI or is that overkill to send liquid fake blood flying?
