Return of the Magnifyingglass!

Ok i built a SHADY asssss contrpation nothing short of rube goldberg. Using shoe box, vellum, a magnifying glass and lits lotts Tape. It didint work to well only got about 20 sec worth of footge before it really fell apart. but it shows that this whole crazy rig just may have some potential. ( sorry no photot of rig, but imagine..... Shoe box with DVX shaped hole cut in one side, and a magnifynig glasso nthe other, with a Scotchtaped piece of vellum acting as "ground glass"...... more like wax paper than ground glass really.... but here some grabs!

Ok now these are a combo of MB and standard CC. just so you can see the color and various looks it can take on. Kinda cool actually. buti just got carried away.... so theres alot of them.

well it's a little bit too blurry for my taste :-)
it would be cool if at least some part of the picture would be in focus...
I mean if you want everything out of focus you can only spin your focus weel on your dvx :-)

but sounds like lot of fun building that rig so it's cool.
 
the next one i do, i have to figure out a way to move the mag glass back and forth. its in focus in the exterior shot, toward the upper right edge. The bricks and windows of the building are somewhat sharp. but it needs to be lined up perpindicular, and have a flat even surface to project on. This thin was made in 5 minutes just ot see how the image looks ina darker environment without nay light leaks. the contrast held up pretty well actually. Next one wil be better.
 
I am like that scientist that is hunched over a table full of random electronic gear, you see in movies. Somehow hoping o make a flamethrowing robot, out of a DVX.... The DVX will be the brain.
