GH4 Retrofitting the GH3

As I understand it, the GH4 is the same camera as the GH3 other than its sensor chip which allows its 4k capabilities and other recording modes. If this is true,
can't the GH3 be retrofitted with the new computer chip to perform the same capabilities? Just a thought.
 
No. The body is similar, but the internal differences are a lot more than a single chip.who told you that?
 
I'm sorry, but this is like that politician who said the Internet is a bunch of tubes. Digital cameras are more complicated than a "computer chip". Which is very different from a sensor.
