DOC: Retirement Home

The Web Crowdfunding

I specify web crowdfunding because we did a sort of direct crowdfunding in the village where the film was made, Sandim, VN Gaia in Portugal.
We asked for money to the people and companies of the small town and in exchange we mentioned them in the credits of the film as supporters.

What I'd advise from the experience of this humble crowdfunding I'm making is: make a pitch video.
I didn't because I thought this crowdfunding could serve only as a kind of pre-sale of materials related to the film and I'd try to find the money in other places like companies, public funding or from cultural institutes, which I didn't so far, things in Portugal are quite difficult at the moment.
But it's kind of mandatory if you want the crowdfunding to go somewhere... Next time I will.

63 hours left, if you can help it would be truly appreciated http://igg.me/at/retirementhomefilm/x/4192945
Saw the film yesterday again from beginning to end. Didn't do that for two or three weeks - or did any relevant editing for that time as well, because of some troubles with production side of the film...
So, it was like watching a film that wasn't mine. And I was like "Man, this is damn good!".
There's a lot of things that need work but the film is becoming quite great and it would be fantastic to count with your support.

Any ideas that you've to get to the finish line, please comment.
And if you can't support with money please share the link in social media. Many many thanks!

Hi guys,

I finished a documentary a while ago called RETIREMENT HOME that is going to be theatrically distributed in my country, Portugal, and I opened an account in Patreon to talk a bit about it: https://www.patreon.com/fernandolino. Maybe this website can help you in your artistic endeavors as well!
I've been finding it hard to do a proper festival circuit and this was a way I found to find some funding for that. Join in and we'll talk a bit about it!

And kudos to DVXuser! It was essential for me when I was in pre-production to find the best suitable gear and it was great to share a few stories here about the making of it..
best!
