Restructuring Directory

A few months ago on a shoot we lost a card, fortunately we recovered the data and were able to see on VLC that the footage is all there. Unfortunately, after restructuring the file directory, Final Cut is saying "no" to me...
""recova 1" contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media."

Anyone have any solutions? I'm dying to see this footage!

There is a panasonic AVCHD tool to fix the structure... others can chime in here...

Also you can transcode the MTS files to something else with toast.

Clipwrap didnt work for me, it was way to choppy.. I also dont have a brand new 450hp mac either... but does alow you to wrap the MTS files in another format -

Thanks MadHMC.

I'm about to pull the trigger on ClipWrap, but only after I try the AVCHD Panasonic tool. Anyone else use ClipWrap before?

Opted to support the boutique developers that made ClipWrap... GREAT DECISION. Worked like a snake charmer. Faster than FCP's log and transfer too!

Do you know where I can find that tool? Can't find it on the Panasonic website.

I am not sure, just have seen others mention it.

Glad to hear clipwrap worked. I know their new versions have been an improvement. They have a demo I believe for anyone else wanting to try.

Same happened to me.
You take the file "private" and put it back into a SDHC card. load it to your HMC 150. power it up. go to play mode. once the card loads. then dump it back to your hard drive.
Let the camera re build the directory.
cheers

That's brilliant. Love to hear creative workaround like that. I sunk the $50 on ClipWrap but it will come in handy for random events... like if I need to send a client raw footage that I haven't transcoded yet... I suppose they can just use VLC... damn it, nevermind.

Thanks bluevoyagetv!
