Resource for hiring videographers in other markets?

Morning, friends. I need to hire shooters to record interviews and b-roll in 15 or so different areas of the USA. The corporation I work for is Cincinnati-based, but we have a sales force spread out everywhere, and we need loads of interviews with them in their respective homes.

I tried thumbtack, but the system is flagging me as a spammer, and their support is not acting very quickly to help.

Any advice for quickly finding interested and qualified shooters across the country?

Many cities have good facebook groups for hiring crew/gear/fixers etc with lots of active members. I unfortunately don't know of any specifics other than a Toronto based one I belong to.
 
You could try Production Hub or Staff Me Up. Also, craigslist would get you some replies on the TV or Crew or Creative postings for each city. As Frame Farm mentioned, we in Boston have a couple of facebook groups and a fixer but it is just for this region.
 
Ya, a friend had some round-the-world (but mostly Europe) gig a few years ago and took a risk trying Crews Control to line up people in places he didn't know anyone. Mainly interviews in offices & b-roll of the work places and cities And then that Iceland (?) volcano blew up so his flights were cancelled. Logan, my friend, is always well prepared...he sent shot lists & mood boards, had some phone calls, in a couple instances skyped a bit early in the shoot. The Crews Control crews worked without him there. If he'd been there, I think he would have gotten much closer to what he wanted. But as it was, he got footage that was pretty good and totally usable. So that was a Crews Control win.

But here in the US Crews Control doesn't pay crews all that much. So you don't necessarily get the best people in each city. But it looks like you get at least competent people.

ProductionHub and Media match might work for you. There are also several Facebook groups for TV production you could post on. If you need some done in the Carolinas, hit me up.
 
Try manwithacam.org. They're based in NYC, but they contract locally nation-wide (international too I believe). Full disclosure: I work for them in LA (as a freelance DP/Op), but they're easy to work with and professional. I've contracted through them a few times when I had projects with components in other markets where it didn't make sense to fly out personally, and I've always received footage that was solid and to spec.
