resizing source record

So when I resize my source record monitor it wont stay that way. I don't know why. I would like it bigger than it is and I can do this by making it smaller, just one screen shows, resize that screen then expanding it to have both sides but when I save current settings and go back to source record mode from a different mode later it is back to original size. this is not a big deal just annoying. Is there a setting somewhere that causes this? I just can't figure out why I can't set it to the size I want.

It'll snap to sizes or positions based on your screen rez, windows open and options selected in your composer/timeline settings.
Crank you monitor rez for more control over it and be sure not to overlap any windows.
