Resetting black reference

I was shooting some low light stuff at 1/30 of a sec and 6db and noticed on my 7q a little spot, which I thought was a dead pixel on the monitor. Luckily, or I guess unluckily, it's my sensor has a little white "hot" spot. It's a weird spot too, if I go to 30db and come back to 6 it goes Away.

anyway, is there a way to reset the sensor or do a reference thing?

Try adjusting the black balance. It's on page 48 in the manual. You may have to do it a couple of times to map out the dead pixel.

Same thing happened to us on our last low light shoot. I had 3 very bright white pixels that I didn't see until post. Resetting the fs700 black level a number if times fixed it.

Freaked me out big time though! I'd never seen this behaviour before from the camera. Is it an SDI to 7q raw quirk? Or did the mushy avchd hide it in the past and we never saw it?
