I also have the same doubt. If I can reset whenever the camera won't start (as said in the manual), what would be the problem if I reset when everything is working fine.
I reset my DVX because after navigating thru the menus I thought I might have changed settings which I shouldn't. So I did a reset, and now I have the same problem: have I messed up with something I shouldn't?
