Research Project Ideas?

I just got an assignment to do a research project for my English class. Any ideas on a research project? It needs to have two sides two it with substantial information to write a (about 3-5 page?) report on.
I really want to do something in movies/film for this research project but I just can't think of anything that relates to movies/film/film making (something along those lines)

Not something too technical like DSLR vs Video Cameras etc, but I don't know, any ideas?

Thanks for the help!

You could take on the ol' tried and true effect of violence in films and TV on kid or society. How about the changing demographics of films, with the advent/proliferation of the internet.

Just a couple of ideas.

Maybe you could write about in detail the impact that Visual FX has had on films:

Have they made films more enjoyable?

has the over use (and graphic nature) killed the imagination/horror?

has it killed the story line (VFX for the sake of VFX)?

Has it given a broader creative 'brush' than before?

has it pushed the filmaking entry barrier higher than before?

Is having VFX so real that the audience does not notice a good thing?

Did video actually kill the radio star?

Yes. The DNA evidence was conclusive. Not to mention the blood-spatter analysis.
