REQUEST - EU and AUS/NZ users, please send a scene file

Attention Australian/NZ HVX202 and European HVX200E owners -- could someone please save their scene files to an SD card, and then post the contents of the scene file (SCENE1.TXT)? Along with the complete directory structure of the SD card?

For example, on the US HVX200, the scene files are stored as SCENE1.TXT, SCENE2.TXT, SCENE3.TXT and SCENE4.TXT. They're stored on the card in the following directory:

PRIVATE\MEIGROUP\PAVCN\SBG\P2SD

Are European and Australian scene files stored in that same directory?

If you could post one of the scene files here, along with documenting which model it came from, that would be most appreciated.

Thanks to anyone who can assist!

Hi Barry

The European scene files are stored in the same directory: PRIVATE\MEIGROUP\PAVCN\SBG\P2SD

Here the SCENE1.TXT content:

Hmm, I assume you need a P2 card in the camera to do this? I just had a go following the manual intructions but couldnt get the cam to play ball as I dont have any P2 cards for it..

Yes there's at least one difference, the "AG-HVX200E" part at the beginning...

No P2 card should be necessary. You should be able to save the scene files to the SD card. I don't recall offhand if you can do that in tape mode though; you might have to put the media switch over to P2 to have access to the menu item that lets you save to the SD card.

Yes you do have to be in P2 mode and also in VCR mode. Finally worked that out but It appears I have an old/bad SD card. Reads fine on the PC/Canon camera but the HVX wont acknowledge it and wont format it. Comes up with 'format ng, no card'. Sorry Barry, unless you have a suggestion I will have to find a new card before I can post the scene files.

What sort of differences are there between the NTSC model and the PAL 202 model settings?

I guess my main point of interest is how relevant many of the forum posts are to PAL camera users if there are important differences between the settings principles and effects in NTSC or PAL version cameras.

Hi Barry,

The NZ Scene Files are exactly the same. ie AG-HVX200E, not AG-HVX202E and all other parameters are the same as well.
